Kairos will present the second in our 2012
Bach Cantata Series with a performance of Bach's Cantata No. 44,
"Sie werden euch in den Bann tun", with chamber orchestra and
organ. The concert will also include a performance by Kairos of
English Baroque composer Peter Phillips' Ascendit Deus
and an orchestral meditation. There is a suggested donation of
$10, and the cantata and other works will be performed as part
of a choral evensong service.

Kairos has some exciting news! On Tuesday, May 1 we launched our
new Kickstarter project, which will help us get our
CD, The Valley Sings - Choral Music of Hudson Valley
Composers, professionally recorded, engineered and produced!
We'll be recording this spring and summer, and we plan on
releasing the CD this coming fall. We're very excited
about the project and invite you to share the link with your
friends and family. The more people know about the project, the
greater chance of success we'll have in reaching our goal and
getting this wonderful project off the ground! Click on
the link at left to visit our Kickstarter project. |

Kairos: A
Consort of Singers is a select vocal ensemble dedicated to
the performance of unaccompanied choral literature from the
Medieval to the present. The group is Artist-in-Residence at
Holy Cross Monastery
in West Park, NY and performs throughout the Hudson Valley and
beyond. Kairos also presents the Bach Cantata Series,
with performances of the church cantatas of J. S. Bach at
various times throughout the year at Holy Cross Monastery.
Now in its seventh year, the series has elicited an
enormously enthusiastic response by the public and has
received wide critical acclaim. Kairos is celebrating its
18th
anniversary as the premiere vocal ensemble of the
Hudson Valley.
We
hope that you'll spend some time with us to learn more about our
music and our mission.
We encourage you to become a KAIROS "angel" so that we
can keep you informed about upcoming events, special offers on

"Under the direction of
Edward Lundergan, the small [King Arthur] orchestra was
sprightly and clear, the chorus similarly
well-coordinated...David Tass Rodriguez read the narration,
which summarizes long scenes to be acted, with obvious flair..."
- Woodstock Times, December 2011
"David Tass Rodriguez gave
the [King Arthur] narration a lively, humorous reading while the
singers sang with full force together and in a variety of solos,
duets, trios and quintets. A 14-piece orchestra played the
overtures and accompaniment with precision and energy. It was an
unusual treat to hear this courtly entertainment performed with
such skill and enjoyment." - Times Herald Record, November 2011

"Impressive ... Expertly directed by Edward Lundergan..." -
Times Herald Record, September 2009
"[The] dramatic and confident confession of faith received
a full and heartfelt expression from the singers and
organist...The appreciative near-capacity audience gave the
performers a well-deserved standing ovation." - Times Herald
Record, February 2011 (Click

"The 23 Kairos singers made
full use of the [Holy Cross] chapel acoustics for a unique
musical experience that held the capacity audience spellbound
for almost two hours. ... [The Amen] brought the audience to its
feet for a long, well-deserved standing ovation." - Times Herald
Record, December 2010 (Click
