Our Bach
Cantata Series performance on Sunday, February 7 raised $1,333
for the Red Cross Haiti Disaster Relief Fund. The brothers of
Holy Cross Monastery will match this offering in a gift to
Episcopal Relief and Development. Kairos and the Monastery
sincerely wish to thank everyone for their overwhelming
generosity.
Kairos: A
Consort of Singers is a select vocal ensemble dedicated to
the performance of unaccompanied choral literature from the
Medieval to the present. The group is Artist-in-Residence at
Holy Cross Monastery
in West Park, NY and performs throughout the Hudson Valley and
beyond. Kairos also presents the Bach Cantata Series, with
performances of the church cantatas of J. S. Bach at various
times throughout the year at Holy Cross Monastery. Now in its fifth year, the series has elicited an
enormously enthusiastic response by the public and has received
wide critical acclaim. In 2009, Kairos celebrated its15th
anniversary as the premiere vocal ensemble of the
Hudson Valley.
