Scott started his choral singing journey at age 10, in church choir. Following his voice change, he was excited to toast "Libiamo, libiamo!" at age 15 while singing in the Lake George Opera Festival production of La Traviata. During 35 years living in New York City, Scott worked as Finance Director for several major non-profit organizations. He sang in several choirs in New York during this period. Scott is proud and thrilled to recall singing the Verdi Requiem in Tel Aviv with Collegiate Chorale and the Israel Philharmonic under Riccardo Muti. He also sang the great Britten War Requiem with the New York Philharmonic under Lorin Maazel.
