Barbara Wild has been conducting choirs since she lined up her stuffed animals and taught them to sing. Since then she has received a DMA in Conducting from Boston University and performed in Carnegie Hall, Boston's Symphony Hall, and interned with the Zamir Chorale of Boston. Dr. Wild has conducted high school choirs in Westchester, Orange and Ulster Counties in New York. She has served on the faculties of Bakersfield College in California, Central Connecticut State University, the College of Saint Rose in Albany, and SUNY-Ulster. Until COVID, she directed the choir at Christ the King Episcopal Church in Stone Ridge. She now maintains a private studio in piano and voice in Saugerties, and her proudest achievements are those of her students. Returning to sing with Kairos is a great pleasure.
